What We Believe

Declaration of Faith

Calvary Worship Centre believes the whole Bible is completely and equally inspired to be the written Word of God. We have adopted the following Declaration of Faith as the standard and official expression of our doctrine.

We Believe

In the verbal inspiration of the Bible.
(2 Timothy 3:15-17, 1 Thessalonians 2:13, 2 Peter 1:21)

In one God, eternally existing in three persons; namely, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
(Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 43:10,11, Matthew 28:19, Luke 3:22)

That Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary. That Jesus was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead. That He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the Intercessor.
(Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:31,35, Hebrews 7:26, 1 Peter 2:22, 1 Corinthians 15:3,2 Corinthians 5:21, Matthew 28:6, Acts 1:9,11, Philippians 2:9-11, Hebrews 1:3)

That all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and that repentance is commanded of God for all, and necessary for the forgiveness of sins.
(Genesis 1:26-27, 2:17, Genesis 3:6, Romans 5:12-19)

That justification, regeneration, and the new birth are wrought by faith, through the blood of Jesus Christ.
(Luke 24:47, John 3:3 Romans 10:13-15, Ephesians 2:8)

In sanctification subsequent to the new birth (through faith in the blood of Christ), through the Word, and by the Holy Spirit.
(Romans 12:1-2, 1 Thessalonians 5:23, Hebrews 13:12, 1 Peter 1:15-16, Romans 6:1-11)

Holiness to be God’s standard of living for His people. (Hebrews 12:14)

In water baptism by immersion, and all who repent should be baptised in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
(Matthew 28:19, Mark 16:16, Acts 10:47,48, Romans 6:4)

In the Lord’s Supper. (1 Corinthians 11:26)

In the baptism with the Holy Spirit.
(Luke 24:49, Acts 1:4, Acts 1:8, 1 Corinthians 12:1-31)

In speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance and that it is the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:4)

Divine healing is provided for all in the atonement.
(Isaiah 53:4-5, Matthew 8:16-17, James 5:14-16)

In the pre-millennial second coming of Jesus. First, to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the living saints to Him in the air. Second, to reign on the earth a thousand years.
(Matthew 24:27,30, Revelation 1:7, 20:1-6)

In the bodily resurrection; eternal life for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the wicked.
(Matthew 25:46, Mark 9:43-48, Revelation 19:20, 20:11-15, 21:8)
